It’s all about our mission…

• Orrin Pierson is in Namibia with our Mission support to help make a recycled tire caterpillar big toy
• Kelly Dolson leaves for Namibia soon to paint a world map at Rachel’s school with our Mission Support
• We are supplying children with about 80 backpack bags a month, with a real possibility that we will add another 60 per month
• Our Mission Team heads to North Carolina in April to rehab houses damaged in Hurricane Florence
• Our many musicians continue to provide special music at Park Manor, Braemar, Valley View, Castle Point, And Southeast Towers.
• We support the Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts, and AA
• We are on Facebook Live each week
• We are always open to new mission possibilities!

HRU – Hudson River University – March 16

·       “Vital Communities of Faith: Inside Resources, Outside Ministry Opportunities”. Are you a congregational leader who needs help with Christian education, stewardship or doing social justice ministry in your church? Event is Saturday, March 16, 2019, from 9:30 am - 2:30 pm at the Stony Point Center.

·       Opening Worship and Keynote Speaker, the Rev. Aquellah Ligonde, Pastor at Far Rockaway Presbyterian Church and Consultant with Youth Ministry Architects.  Read the full schedule of workshops and leaders and register.

Visit of the New General Presbyter – Sunday, March 24

• The General Presbyter of the Hudson River Presbytery will be visiting our worship service on Sunday March 24 at 11:00am!
• Deb is a Ruling Elder, a former Christian Educator, has three grown daughters, and has wonderful experience with mission projects in may places.
• She will bring greetings from the presbytery during worship.

Women's Fellowship – April 6

·       OMHPC Women's Fellowship will be meeting on Saturday April 6th from 10-11:30am. We will have worship, snacks, and then delve into a biblical journey of discipleship with one of the speakers from IF:Gathering 2019. Please bring a treat to share. Easter Plans – April 14-28

·       EMPOWERkids Easter Pageant on Palm Sunday, April 14, 9:30am!

·       Maundy Thursday will be a Soup & Bread supper!

·       Good Friday the church will be open for Midday prayer!

·       The Sunrise Service is at 6:00am. Sunrise is at 6:10am!

·       Joan Addy will coordinate the Easter Sunrise Breakfast.

·       Identical Easter Services will be at 9:30am & 11:00am

Confirmation Classes – April 28, May 5 & 19, and June 2

·       For youth in 6^th grade and above, who have been baptized or need to be baptized, who would like to confirm the baptismal vows made on their behalf by their parents.

·       Classes will be on Sunday April 28, May 5, May 19, and June 2.

Walk for Habitat – April 28

·       Habitat Newburgh’s annual Walk for Housing will be on Sunday, April 28! Further information forthcoming.

Presbyterian Youth Triennium 2019 - July 16-20

·       The Presbyterian Youth Triennium will be this summer from July 16-20 at Purdue University. This is for all 9th-12th graders. The Triennium happens only once every three years, so we are working hard to ensure every high school student who wants to go has the funding and support they need. This year's theme is "Here's My Heart."
