Prelude

Time of Silence
“In this quiet moment, Jesus speak to me. Fill my heart with Thy love
divine, Your power let me see.”

Call to Worship

L: The stone that the builders rejected has become the chief cornerstone
P: The Lord is my strength and my might; He has become my salvation
L: Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the Lord
P: O give thanks to the Lord, for He is good, for His steadfast love endures
forever

Hymn 128 I Sing the Mighty Power of God

Silent Prayer of Confession

Sung Response & Assurance of Pardon
“Lord have mercy upon us. Christ have mercy upon us. Lord have mercy upon us.”

Glory to the Father
“Glory be to the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Ghost; as it was in the beginning is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.”

An Affirmation of Faith (unison)
This is the good news which we received, in which we stand and by which we are saved; that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day; and that he appeared to Mary, then to the twelve, and to many faithful witnesses. We believe he is the Christ, the Son of the Living God. He is the first and the last, the beginning and the end, he is our Lord and our God. Amen.

Sharing of Joys and Concerns

Prayers of the People

The Lord’s Prayer
"Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy Name.  Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors; and lead
*us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.”

“This is my body, this is my blood, take it now in remembrance of the price that has been paid, for… This is my body, this is my blood, take it now in remembrance of the price that has been paid for you!”

The Peace
L    God sent the world his only Son. Since God loved us so much,
we too should love one another.
P:   Let us love one another, since love comes from God.
L:   The Peace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with you all.
P:   (to each other) The Peace of Christ be with you.

Benediction

Sung Response
May the Lord, Mighty God, bless and keep you forever; Grant you peace, perfect peace, courage in every endeavor. Lift your eyes and see his face, and his love forever. May the Lord, risen Lord, bless and keep you forever.

CHURCH EVENTS THIS WEEK
Church Friends
·       If you can make a phone call, send a card or make a visit - this is for you! You don’t have to be a Deacon or a Stephen Minister to touch someone’s life. By just making contact with someone you can make sure they know they have not been forgotten. It would not require a regular commitment but periodic times of interaction.
·       If you would like to know more about making a difference this way, contact Candy Burnett.
Confirmation Classes – May 5 & 19, and June 2
·       For youth in 6th grade and above! RSVP Jeff!
·       Confirmation Sunday, June 9th (Pentecost) at 11:00am.
Wednesday Morning Bible Study – May 8
·       The Wednesday Morning Bible Study (10:00am) will be starting a new study on the End Times. New participants welcome! Study books are available on the book cart for $7. See Jeff, Candy, Jen, or Nancy for questions!
Mother’s Day Photo Wall – May 12
·       We hope to have a spot for a selfie on Mother’s Day so you can get a photo of you and yours! More info to come! #OMHPC
Mother’s Day Love Bouquet – May 12
·       We will have vases available at the front of the church for anyone who would like to place a flower in memory or honor of their mother. Any flower is acceptable, purchased or picked from the yard. We always have such a gorgeous assortment of flowers. Most importantly, the vases are always filled with love. The flowers will later be divided into smaller arrangements and given to others. If you know of someone who might appreciate receiving one please let Candy Burnett know.

Murder Mystery Dinner Theater – June 7 & 8
·       If you can help with sets, costumes, help in the kitchen or serve meals, make desserts, or wash dishes please see Marilyn Komstedt.
·       Tickets available Palm Sunday. Dinner and show 7:00pm for $15.
Fall Mission Trip - November 2-9 and/or 9-16
