We are developing a new position description to
place an adult in the 11:00am nursery each week. It will be only
babies/toddlers under age 3. Interested? See Jeff.

for children over age 3. If you are interested in helping create that area and
finding leadership, see Jeff ASAP.

EMPOWERfundraising

Our MS and HS/YA groups are launching a gift
card campaign. If you have any gift cards lying around and won't use them, or
just want to donate one you bought, we are willing to take them off your hands!
They will be useful for our outings, as well as good prizes for our events!

Blanket Sunday
· The Blanket Sunday offering has raised $1020 so far. You can still give
online or in the special envelopes.
EMPOWERmissiontrip – Today!
· If your youth would like to join us on a 2020 summer mission trip, we
will have an informative meeting today at 10:45 AM in the memorial room. We
will be discussing location and dates. We urge all parents who are thinking
their child may participate to stay for this important meeting. We plan on
doing several fundraisers and pledge campaigns to raise the funds, so don't let
cost be a deterrent!
Women’s Health & Wellness – Tuesday, March
24
· The Women's Health and
Wellness group welcomes Gerda Krogslund on Tuesday, March 24 at 7PM for a
discussion on the importance of the Stephen Ministry

Spring Legacy Lunch – Sunday, March 29
· Lots of good food, Fellowship, interesting activities and lots of laughs
honoring our “Senior Members” for their contributions and dedication to our
Congregation.
Church Scholarships – Available April 1
·
Graduating High
School Seniors who are church members are eligible to apply. Applications will
be available in the office and must be returned by May 17. Scholarships are
awarded at the June 21 Baccalaureate Worship service at 11am.
Palm Sunday – Sunday, April 5
· Come and worship as we remember Jesus triumphal entry into Jerusalem as
the people waved palm branches!
· It is a communion Sunday!
Maundy Thursday – April 9
· A soup and bread dinner preceded by handwashing, and concluding with the
Lord’s supper.
Good Friday – April 10
· Sanctuary open for prayer from 12:00noon – 3:00pm.
Easter – Sunday, April 12
· Beginning with the Sunrise Service at 6:00am.
· Followed by an Easter Sunrise Breakfast

Later there are two services at 9:30am &
11:00am.
Pancake Breakfast – Sunday, April 19
· There will be a pancake breakfast in support of the Deacons 5K Fun Run
Walk to raise funds for “Answers for Ashlyn” & Boston Children’s Hospital’s
Kabuki Syndrome Program from 9:00am – 11:00am.
New Members Seminar – Sunday, April 19
· There will be a New Members Seminar on Sunday, April 19 at noon (with a
light lunch) for all tose interested in joining the church, or asking questions
about about all the strange and wonderful stuff our congregation does. RSVP
Jeff at otisvillepres@hvc.rr.com of call the
church at 386-3851!

Confirmation Class – Sunday, April 19
· A confirmation class for students 6th grade and older who
would like to join the church and confirm their baptisms.

· They will join the church on May 31 – Pentecost Sunday!

· There is a Walk for Housing for the Newburgh Habitat for Humanity
(PresbyBuild) on the afternoon of Sunday, April 26th.

· Our Drama team is again putting together a Mystery Dinner Theater event
